Bygningen er plassert på kanten av gamle Kolindsund-sø. Tilbaketrukket i fredelig landskap kan man leve sine siste dager omringet av landskapets skiftende tilstand. Bygningens volum fordeler seg ut fra en kjerne med to armer som strekker seg ut i landskapet og skaper trygge rom i naturlige omgivelser, for brukerne og besøkende.
